Early Entrepreneurship
Nadeem Safran Kongath is a dynamic entrepreneur whose business acumen began to shine at a remarkably young age. Inspired by his father, Ummer Kongath—a respected figure in the FMCG sector with over four decades of experience—Nadeem entered the world of commerce at just nine years old, selling watermelon juice with his brother at a local festival.
By age 15, he was actively assisting in the family’s cosmetic and gift retail shop, gradually taking on greater responsibilities while balancing academic pursuits. At 20, Nadeem formally stepped into the family business, focusing on FMCG products like cakes, biscuits, chocolates, and sweets. His keen interest in market trends led him to study India’s noodle industry, culminating in the 2017 launch of Indomie noodles, imported from Indonesia.
In 2020, as demand for instant food surged during the Covid-19 pandemic, Nadeem expanded operations through Tharacart, catering to both B2C and B2B sectors. That same year, he introduced Thara Freight, a logistics solution developed in partnership with Delhivery, FedEx, and ExpressBees.
Continuing to innovate, his latest venture is Karikku, a premium tender coconut water brand launched across India and GCC countries. Today, under Thara Global Holdings, Nadeem is preparing to introduce a range of new food products to the Indian market, driving forward his vision to establish a global footprint for his brands.
